The AfterCare program runs from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. 5 days per week, except for Breakwater Half-Day Wednesdays when it runs from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Students between the ages of 5 and 12 attending any school in the Portland area are welcome to enroll.  Transportation from school is available for students who do not attend Breakwater.

AfterCare allows children to choose from a variety of activities including outdoor play, seasonal activities, independent reading or homework, indoor games, art projects, and field trips.  Snacks are provided.  To request a program packet with more detailed information, please contact either Erin Frederick at 207.772.8689 extension 221 or AfterCare at extension 235.

After school Community Programs are structured classes and activities that are open to all, but also supplement the AfterCare program.  They may include such offerings as creative movement and dance, theater, organized sports, art workshops, and discovery science courses.  For information on our after-school Community Programs, please contact Cathleen Allen at 207.772.8689 extension 226.
