Parents want their children to grow up to be healthy men and women, but many worry about the impact of unhealthy media messages about gender, relationships, respect, and sexuality. We invite all parents to join us as we explore the media that middle school aged students are exposed to and how to use it to talk about gender roles with your own sons and daughters.
This conversation will be geared toward parents of children in grades 5 through 8. Facilitators Megan Williams (Hardy Girls Healthy Women) and Jeff Morrill (Boys to Men) will discuss media and its effects on your children - in the growing age of social networking.
This event is free and open to the public - so bring a friend and pass on this information to anyone who may be interested!
