Breakwater's Parent Education Series: Small Talk
Behavior as Communication: What is My Child Telling Me?
Wednesday, March 10
6:00 to 7:00 pm
Library
Join us for an evening of camaraderie, discussion, and strategizing about common issues in raising young children.
Behavior is a child's first means of communication. Their behavior tells us what they are thinking about, what they are trying to make sense of, and what they need. How we respond to their behavior - whether delightful, inquisitive, or obstinate - has a lasting impact on how they learn to have their needs met.
Join Molly Thompson, Early Childhood Division Director, and Breakwater's toddler and preschool teachers as we explore the topic of behavior. We will discuss researched and practical strategies to analyze and respond to children's behaviors in ways that meet your child's needs and achieve the result you seek.
A grown ups-only event for parents of toddlers and preschoolers.
