The Development office at Breakwater School coordinates all fundraising activities during the year.  Initiatives include the Breakwater Annual Fund and a variety of other events and activities during the year.  Mailings for these activities are coordinated through the Development office with the active participation of staff and volunteers. 

The full cost of a Breakwater education, as with most independent schools, is not covered completely by tuition and fees.  The role of the Development office is to solicit charitable gifts to bridge the gap between school revenues and the actual cost of operating the school.  These contributions are critical to underwriting of the school's continuing curriculum development, programming, and both minor and major capital improvements.

The Development office welcomes both unrestricted gifts and those given for specific purposes.  Our support comes from a wide range of constituencies, including Alumni, Parents, Trustees, Grandparents, Foundations, and Businesses.
